Principals


Hal Rivadeneira, BSc, is a co-founder and principal of Databean, LLC. Hal provides 13+ years experience in web-based application design, development and management of complex data systems with a specific interest in data quality, integrity and security. Established in 2004, Databean’s clinical and data management teams are dedicated to the ever-changing IT needs of the healthcare industry. Hal began his career developing small customized data systems for individual doctors with an interest in health outcomes research. More recently Hal has provided consultant services to multiple start-up medical device companies, Price Waterhouse Coopers Healthcare Services Group, Lovett Collins Associates, AIDS community outreach programs, IBM, and academic and independent medical centers. 

Peter Terrizzi, MS, is chief technology officer and principal of Databean LLC. Peter’s track record includes over 20 years in software development, project management, and product development. Prior to Databean, he held positions as senior software development, joint venture, product management, and technical consulting with Decisive Technology Solutions, Dun & Bradstreet, InsureVianet, Vertrue, Hyperion Solutions (now a unit of Oracle), and FinServ Consulting. He specializes in Microsoft development technologies with extensive experience in design practices and methodologies, application and web development and SQL database development. Peter is thorough in analysis and planning, ruthless in execution and does not hold back when the success or failure of the product are at stake. He holds degrees in Computer Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science.

Nuala Ronan, BA, RGN, is a founding partner of Databean LLC. Nuala provides 15+ years of clinical research operations experience in academia and the healthcare industry where she helps clients maximize efficiencies within their projects. Nuala has the ability to identify key issues related to clinical research from an operational perspective and to develop appropriate operational systems, processes, and capabilities. Her areas of expertise include clinical trial design and execution, design and integration of data systems, IRB development, site development and training, and contract and budget planning.
